This is not a copy. The piece is large measuring 2-3/4" in diameter and is fashioned of heavyweight sterling silver with amethyst quartz stones. Weighs 2.6 ounces.
The design is featured in Morrill and Berks book Mexican Silver page 39. Marks include the WS mark in a circle surrounded by the words "Spratling Made in Mexico" and "Spratling Silver" in an oval. These marks are those used in the period dating 1931-1945 (Cedarwall and Riney, Spratling Silver page 171). Findings include both a pin back with a safety clasp and a bale for wear as a pendant.
