It's so easy to take for granted what an amazing city we live in. Sometimes weeks or months go by without ever taking advantage, truly, of what our city has to offer.
But then when we board the EL, make our way downtown, and I watch as the magic of the skyline captivates my little guy, I am reminded that we should really do this more often.
Chicago is, truly, our kind of town. I'm hoping that seeing my little one wear this shirt will remind me to take advantage of this big, wonderful city we are in more often. Perhaps it will do the same for you, or perhaps it will remind you of all the wonderful memories you had there if you just happened to pass through.

The print is made with an original lino cut block (4 x 6 inches) that was drawn, carved and printed by me. The ink is fabric-safe, water-based and non-toxic. This particular print is done in a rich navy. I like the bold contrast with the purple shirt.

This is a SHORT SLEEVE 100% cotton shirt, a nice thick knit and incredibly soft, fit for the most delicate of baby skin!
It was dyed by me in a small batch (4-6 shirts at a time) using fiber reactive dyes to ensure they'd be safe for your babe and healthy for me. The small batch dye process results in a shirt that is truly one of a kind. Dyeing in this manner yields some irregularities that add to the character of the finished product. This particular shirt is a deep, sophisticated shade of purple.
After dyeing, the shirts were thoroughly rinsed and then washed in a non-toxic, biodegradable soap. It comes to you ready-to wear (or gift!).

This item can be machine washed and dried, however the colors will last longest if washed on cold and line-dried.
