Reminiscent of a gate to a temple or Japanese garden, this hand-crafted wall clock has the clean lines of Asian design and simplicity. This clock is covered with piece of silk from a vintage Japanese kimono (Showa era, 1926-1989). The image is a wooded landscape of a two-story dwelling on a hill surrounded by tall trees, in ochre colors and green bamboo in the foreground. The background color is ecru.The framing gate design is made of alder wood with an Espresso stain, measuring 15.5"x 21"x 1.25". The grid work is a traditional Japanese design. All surfaces are clear-finished.
