Bright fallen leaves are nestled at the bottom of a tree trunk. A woodpecker is busy on the side of the tree. The tree trunk is heavily threaded with thread, fabric paint and hemp string to give it some definition. The woodpecker is a photo transfer onto fabric, then appliquéd to the piece and heavily threaded. Each leaf was done individually with thread, tulle and paint. Then appliquéd onto the piece.
