African American Waldorf Doll

My dolls are made in the traditional Waldorf style with hand dyed cotton interlock skin stuffed with wool so that they feel warm when held. I have added noses and belly buttons to the traditional style due to demand from my loved ones. This doll has bloomers made of cotton and a dress made from vintage cotton fabric from the 1940s. Her little coat and shoes are made from wool which I culled from the 150 lbs of rug wool that I just purchased from Craig's List. Believe me it made no noticeable dent. Her hair is built on a crocheted cap of black mohair and she has a braid that winds around her head. You can see it best in the third picture. The last picture is just for your amusement. These are the last of the annual Christmas Dolls and they like to hang out together until they move to their new homes.
