Queen Esther with Laser Octopuses original painting

I have loved the story of Queen Esther from the Bible since I was a wee lad. Thinking about this gorgeous woman who had it all but was willing to risk everything, including her every happiness and very life to save her people inspired me to start painting this piece back in 2001. More than 10 years later I was inspired to finish this piece and add some of my hilarious animals surrounding her in the water. (Laser octopuses in this case)
