When I was in grade school, a major expedition, after the school bus dropped us safely at home, was to walk down the highway to the little market on the edge of town. This, long before the days of 7-11’s and other franchised convenience stores, was a little mom-n-pop shop where folks heading home could stop and buy a bottle of milk or loaf of bread, and where teenagers would buy pop and candy. One of favorites in those days (aside from chocolate) were the little “candy canes without the hook” that came in one flavor (sweet), but many colors. This colorway is like those twists of sugar in purple that were called grape: lavender, magenta, purple, and the various shades in-between.

This listing is for one 2-ply skein, with a total weight of 3.9 oz., spun at an average of 1000 ypp (yards per pound). The total yardage for the skein is approximately 245 yards. The yarn wraps at 9-11 and is a worsted weight, a little thick and thin.
