Reclaimed Industrial Functional Art
Approx 5" Tall
5.5 " Diameter
I made this candle holder by cutting the end off of an industrial 'roller' type pipe. At the scrap yard I found a bunch of 5ft long 'tubes' that were part of a big machine to level ground?...I've made kitchen utensil holders and vases from the cut pipe part and when I had the ends left I finally realized what cool candle holders they would make.
I have painted the entire piece with rust converter which stops the rust (unless of course you let it get wet outside repeatedly) and attached a nut to the top for the candle to sit in. I would tear off some aluminum foil to stuff in there to keep wax from gunking the middle up as well as to make a nice secure spot for the candle to rest in. It's a snug fit to begin with and you dont have to use the foil but I do suggest you do that. I have cut reclaimed aluminum to bit the bottom to keep your furniture from getting scratched up.
Please make sure you do not leave candles unattended and always use the glass votive when burning candles in this holder.
*this pieceweighs about 7 pounds, its heavy and I will ship it parcel post. I can combine shipping and always refund via paypal after sent.
