Rawhide Stems- 1/8" Wide x 1-1/2" Tall before glued into holes on the fruit.
Hand painted with a nontoxic, water based wash. They have then been sealed with a combination of beeswax and olive oil to keep the colors vibrant and the pieces durable.
Colors may vary depending on how the wood accepts the watercolor paint.

I made him little "store" out of a bookshelf, and I asked the produce guy in the grocery store for some of those paper-pulp fruit trays they use to ship apples. He gave me a couple and I cut them to fit the shelves in the "store" so the fruit looks authentic when it's for "sale."
