Recycled glass makes a beautiful statement! I made several of these pendants like the one pictured, but rather than take a picture of each one, please know that the pendant you purchase will be very very much like the picture. Please allow slight variants because the pieces are handmade and no two are exactly alike. The pendant you receive is not the one pictured but one from the same kiln load.
Each pendant is made using a coca cola bottle that was destined for recycling. I cut the top off of the bottle and send the rest to recycle. In the meantime, the top of the bottle has been melted into a beautiful pendant. Melted in my kiln, on a special surface, the glass now has a textured back, which magnifies for a unique depth and a piece of interest for sure. These pendants are always a favorite in my booth at art fairs. I love the look of the greenish glass which is something you find in recycled glass. Sometimes you can find beads made of old windshield glass and they have the same color.
If you look, and imagine a bit, you will know this is the top of the bottle.
3.5 cm in height and 3 cm wide, kiln annealed for durability, the pendants are wrapped in a good silver filled wire (double the amount of silver coating than usual) and is guaranteed for workmanship. The tiny 18 inch ball chain is included. The finish of the ball chain is a silver color.
