17 1/4" x 17 1/4", with the outside blocks being a smidge larger, so the total size of the top is approximately 71" wide x 87" long. I have pictured it on a queen size bed, so you can see the approx. size. The Sunbonnet Sue girls are 14 1/4" tall.
There is quite a mixture of different feed sack fabrics that went into this top, making it very colorful. They are hand appliqued on a sturdy weight muslin block, with a hand sewn straight running stitch, with black embroidery thread. The blocks are machine sewn together.
You could make a fabulous quilt out of this, or, take it apart and put it back together however you want - you could make 2 quilts or use some for pillow shams - a great opportunity here for some creative ideas, with this many large blocks!
I haven't washed or ironed these blocks, but it would really sparkle with a good soak! This quilt top has never been used and is excellent condition! I have had it stored in my smoke free studio for over 20 years.
