this german lithograph depicts a dark navy blue sky map of the stars of the southern sky
it comes from a 1903 century german lexikon and measure 9.75 x 11"
a tissue overlay showing the names of the constellation is included with the print
on the top of the map there is a chart displaying the different sizes of the stars
on the bottom are references to the constellations
a copy of the title page with the date, publisher and engraver's information will be included with the print

NB. this engraving is over 100 years old as such there may varying spots of foxing and aging... so **please look at the photos carefully!**
the last photo is to show the entire print size - and is slightly off colour
PLEASE NOTE: this print is a double page 'centerfold' ~ meaning it has a clean crease down the middle from where is was folded inside the book. to some this maybe a distracting nuance. to others it is an unavoidable triviality in the mission to display a more important illustration in a smaller format. ~ [think of a Playboy centerfold]
