If the stone of this blue pendant looks like it's tilted at a funny angle, it's because it is. The piece of agate itself is carved in a tilted, wave sort of shape. It's difficult to describe, difficult to photo, and it was even difficult to wire wrap! The results were worth it, though.

The wire used is actually a non-tarnish, silver plated copper wire. It will not oxidize, and the color will not fade. The color you see currently, is the color you'll have for the lifetime of the piece.

A little about the stone: Agate is one of the most common materials used in the art of hardstone carving. The stone was given its name by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and naturalist, who discovered the stone along the shore line of the river Achates.
