Sorry, this item sold. You may also like:
The box has seam tears but still performs it's use as a box. It also has a name written on it in pencil. (My mom wrote her name on it when she was a little girl larger on the back and small in the front) The box is really cool to look at because of all the pictures of the fashion doll Barbies in their different out fits. The words on the front read:
TEEN AGE FASHION MODEL T.M.
and on the bottom of the cover of the box it reads:
TEEN AGE FASHION MODEL WITH PEDESTAL? THERE IS A PRICE TAG OVER THE LAST PART FROM WESTERN AUTO? IT WAS $2.20
STOCK NO 850 IMPORTED FROM JAPAN
Included with her doll in the box is her stand. It is copper colored and makes for easy and great display.
About the doll:
She is the red head version with a short bob. She has blue eye shadow black eye liner and blue eyes. The whites of her eyes are white. Her earrings have stained her ears blue and I have not attempted to clean them, it'll come as is and you may clean her as you see fit. There is a little smudge of the blue on her cheek and a couple of spots on her clothes as I have been so honest as to show in the pictures (don't want you to think I'm fooling you). It may very well come clean but I will leave that up to you, perhaps you know how or just aren't picky because it's not terribly noticeable. All the rest appears to be perfectly clean. Her outfit consists of her original red body suit or swim suit I guess it is. Her nails are painted to match her painted toenails. She has very long legs, nice and clean. On her butt it reads :
by Mattel inc.
and then one more word under that I can't make out because it's so small
She has another marking on her right foot on the bottom it reads:
She also wears a nice cover up long trench coat. It buttons up and down the front, has white stitching and the cuff and collar is of blue, yellow, and red polka dots on white. It has a couple of little stains on it, may or may not wash out, I have not tried to clean it, just selling her as is. Included is the vintage little yellow hangar.
Hope you enjoy your old, rare, and unique find. She has lasted about 50 years (with only her earrings not being stable but at least they are still there! ) She was played with and loved, out grown and stored away and because my daughters don't seem to really appreciate or respect their toys she is up for grabs for a limited time only. If she doesn't get adopted to a new home back to storage for another few decades she goes!
Free gift included: a nice pair of old vintage white strappy high heel shoes! Yay!
Also have a matching ken doll for sale too from same time period.
Thanks and have a wonderful day!
