Wishbone stitch circles are little explorations in color, based on memories, and travels both near and far. They are abstractions, objects to provoke nostalgia, and the warm and fuzzies. They are sort of like poems; simple but meaningful.
This embroidery was inspired by the children's song, Down By The Bay... you know, the one about where the watermelons grow...
I hope that when you look at them you can see something specific to you, and make it your own. That's what makes them special - besides the fact that no two can ever be the same - no two people will have the same reaction to them, everyone will have their own interpretation. What is yours?

Stretched in a 4 inch wooden embroidery hoop. Please see last image to get an idea for the size of the hoop, sorry, threads and empty hoop not included in purchase of this listing, shown for scale only!

This embroidery is ready to be displayed and can either be hung or placed. Can be hung with a nail, pin or double stick mounting squares to preserve walls! You can also place the hoop on an shelf, ledge or mantel. Suitable for shadow boxes as well.
