I grew up on a farm with a horse crazy dressage queen mom and a percheron breeder dad who drove his two mares with the Yankee Draft Horse Association. But wait, I digress. Having been away from horses for 30 years, now that 14 year old Olivia is riding, I'm jumping in with two feet (hooves?). We went to a local hunter jumper show a couple of weeks ago, where I found that a TON has changed in 30 years! I used to struggle to put on my $100 custom made riding boots, using boot pulls and a bootjack to get 'em off and a lot of swearing and complaining... Nowadays those soft cushy riders have zippers in their boots! And customs cost about $1500 and up! Classes don't cost $4.50 each anymore either. It felt really good, though, to see the same $1.50 blue plastic curry comb still around, costing maybe $2.50... Yay for tradition!
This magnet is a beeeyooootifully reproduced print of my original collage, with a fancy plastic (do those two words go together?) covering. The back is all magnet, baby!
