This shino bowl is perfect for cereal, salad, or soup. It was first thrown on the potters wheel, altered and decorated by hand, then covered with a carbon trapping shino glaze. This particular shino has beautiful natural variation that is reminiscent of the surfaces of wood fired pottery. The form swells like a wave and Its surface brings to mind animal print and crystals. Its inside is covered with a smooth celadon glaze.
This bowl is medium sized, measuring 5 in wide and 2 3/4 inches tall. It holds 18 oz of liquid when filled to the top. It was gas fired to cone 10 and is both food and microwave safe.
