60s Red & Black Animal Print Cotton Long Tunic or Dress Kenya Hand Print S

On the inside of this long dress or tunic I can see it was screen printed by hand in Nairobi, Kenya. The print includes elephants, lions, crocodiles, owls, monkeys, snakes, turtles...all in truly bold and beautiful style. The red and black is striking! The fabric is unlined cotton.

I'm not certain, but estimate the dress/tunic to be 1960s in vintage. It is long and fitted, with very high-cut side slits. I assume this was meant to be worn with fitted black pants beneath. There is a long back nylon zipper.

Condition: Very good at least, with no flaws to speak of. The print is ever so slightly faded but it is still very vibrant.

Size: Small by my estimate, about a US size 6
