An amphora is a type of vase-shaped, usually ceramic container with two handles and a long neck narrower than the body. The word amphora is Latin, derived from the Greek amphiphoreus , a compound word combining amphi- ("on both sides", "twain") plus phoreus ("carrier"), referring to the vessel's two carrying handles on opposite sides. Most were produced with a pointed base to allow upright storage by being partly embedded in sand or soft ground.

Strands of lovely beads include- creamy mother of pearl with antique patina, myrrh alternating with faceted rose quartz, antique Czech seeds of white, amber, dusty lilac and ark burgundy glass from Indonesia, thick faceted rondelles of flashy labradorite and fine Mali tubes. The necklace is 27 inches long, the vial with stopper is 3.3 inches tall and at its widest point has a diameter of 1.5 inches.
