- Classic 50s "New Look" shape with fitted bodice, nipped waist and very full skirt
- Shirred jersey type fabric on bodice with wide halter straps; would not be that difficult for a good seamstress to remove these straps and convert this to a strapless dress
- Slightly dropped waist
- Very full, ballet length skirt with 3 layers; outside is pleated tulle, inner is ruffled tulle and lining is black acetate.
- Shown without a crinoline but could be worn with one if additional fullness is desired.
- Flexible boning inside bodice and side metal zipper
