Murrle Bennett was founded by Ernst Murrle and JB Bennett, they specialised in high quality jewellery in the Arts & Crafts & Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style.
Production took place in Pforzheim, Germany and they worked closely with Libertys and important designers such as Archibald Knox and Fahrner.

This superb piece is all original. The central pendant features two large Amethyst stones, the central stone measures approximately 11mms x 8mms and is collet set in gold
(a distinctive feature of authentic Murrle Bennet Silver pieces ) in the planished (hammered) silver pendant. Suspended from the main pendant is the lavaliere drop of another collet set Amethyst measuring approximately 7.5mms x 6mms.
The total drop of the main stone set pendant is approximately
1 3/4" inches (44mms) x approximately 1 1/4"inches (28mms).
The pendant is suspended from the original 2 pierced and hammered spacer links leading to the original paperlink chain and distinctive original fastener.
Necklace measures approximately 20" inches.
The pendant is fully signed with the Murrle Bennet & Co makers mark to the reverse and stamped '950' for the 950 silver fineness, slightly higher than 925 silver that has a wonderful tactile quality.
Unlike many pieces on the market this has survived all original in excellent condition and is **** 100% Guaranteed Authentic ****
The Silver has a Wonderful Patination and is Simply Superb.
