These Roman Glass beads are from a cache uncovered near Balkh, in northern Afghanistan. They are a beautiful deep turquoiuse blue in color, and in excellent condition for their age. I have strung them all by hand, trying to get the best possible match for both sides of the necklace. In between each glass bead is a sterling silver bead - 114 in all. The necklace measures 20" in length, and is finished with a sterling silver hook clasp.
This necklace is strung on top of the range Softflex multi-strand braided stainless steel wire. All components such as crimps, crimp covers & wire protectors are solid sterling silver.
