This wonderful vintage porcelain enamel advertising sign is for the Freemason's Masonic Lodge 418. "Freeburg [Illinois] Lodge #418, 2nd Wednesday" it reads in black, embossed letters. The sign has three holes--two (on top and bottom center) have metal reinforcing rings still present. It has edge rust and wear and probably hung outside for a number of years (Masonic lodges are required to post their meeting dates). It has not had any touch-ups. The sign dates probably to the 1940s or earlier.

This sign would be a wonderful addition to your collection of porcelain signs or Masonic memorabilia, or just a nice piece of rustic Americana.
