The bodice is gathered bodice, not lined, not boned, seams are hand sewn with edges left raw or unfinished. Button front closure with blue glass functional buttons. Piping noted at armsye only. The unlined sleeve a closer fit than a bishop or full pagoda sleeve and has two self fabric ruffles at the cuff. The skirt has a center front opeining with right front pocket, gaged at the waist, hem turned up 5" and sewn to cream facing. Wool brush braid present at bottom edge. The waist measures 25". Skirt length is 40.5". Circumference of skirt is 148".
There are some brown spots noted on this dress, but that would be typical of a work dress or a dress someone would be doing house work or gardening in. Some of the brown spots may have holes in them (I believe but cannot remember).
