The purse (shown at the front in the photos) measures approx. 17cm x 19cm excluding the strap. It has a cream silk dupion main body, with a contrasting section at the upper edge in blush-coloured silk. The purse has a carrying strap which wraps around the wrist, and fastens with an internal magnetic clasp fastening, just inside the upper edge. 'Emmy' has a satin lining on the inside, and is finished with blush-coloured ribbon edging and pearl bead trims. The dupion fabric I have used for the main body has a slubbed, slightly textured surface, which is characteristic of this type of silk.
