Sorry, this item sold. Have auntflow make something just for you, or try these other items:
The shell is constructed with two waterproof polyurethane laminate (PUL) gussets, one flannel ice pocket (one snack-sized ziplock baggie loosely packed with some crushed ice fits perfectly!), two layers of thirsty flannel to catch what the first thirsty pad doesn't, and an outer layer of waterproof PUL.
Pad construction consists of two layers of diaper flannel turned and topstitched around two thirsty layers of cotton terry toweling, with stitching through all but one flannel layer to aide in channeling the fluid inside the pad.
Pads: 14.5" long by 5 1/2" (at widest point) or 3 1/2" (at the narrowest part of the hourglass shape) The last picture shows the absorbent pad in comparison to one of my regular cloth pads--they're quite a bit bigger!
::WHY USE CLOTH PADS?::
~:♥:~ Cloth pads make your postpartum period--a trying time for the best of us--more pleasant. Cloth pads just FEEL better than plastic, disposable pads, and their bright cheerfulness in your panties will make you smile and feel better when the crampy, bloaty, bleedy time hits...or they'll certainly brighten any day if used for back-up protection for incontinence, too.
~:♥:~ Cloth pads are good for the environment! You won't be throwing a large quantity of plastic pads and cotton tampons away, not adding to landfills or contributing as much more to water pollution as you would with disposables.
~:♥:~ Your wallet will thank you! Cloth pads are much less expensive than disposables, in the long run. I have the first cloth pads I ever made 5 years ago out of an old tablecloth, a baby blanket, and an old towel, and they're still working great!
~:♥:~ Sensitive skin appreciates cloth, since you can choose which, if any, chemicals you put next to your skin. Disposable menstrual products don't offer that luxury.
~:♥:~ Cloth pads are CUTE!! Way cuter than disposables. You could even call them designer pads. ;D
These postpartum pads aren't suited for very active times; they're for the very heaviest flow time, when you're relaxing at first with your new baby. Don't buy these to go running a marathon. ;0) You can also make your own by visiting Very Baby's site: http://verybaby.com/ecom-prodshow/babymoon.html
