I scored this Steve & Barry's Starbury jacket at my local thrift store - when my 14yr old son saw this jacket he said "Mom, you've gotta make this into a bag!" I was hesitant because it's not leather, it's a fabulous leather-look-alike, but the Brooklyn graphics quickly convinced me that yeah, this jacket will make a really great bag.
I've transformed the jacket into a big, soft and slouchy bag. It measures 17" wide at the widest part in the middle, tapering up to 9-1/2" wide at the mouth. It stands 16" tall, and the black vinyl strap measures 23" from side to side, which drops the top of the bag at waist level, the perfect drop for a hippie and boho bag in this style.
The really bold graphics include a roaring lion, "Coney Island" (my father took me to Coney Island practically every weekend when I was a kid) and of course "Brooklyn, NY" - wow, I just might have to keep this bag for myself, femmes.
FrouFrou a GoGo - "Upcycled, Recycled Accessories For Fabulous Femmes Like You. " Sweet.
