This wild maple board features a contoured natural edge and smooth faces that are alive with rippled figure and streaks of color: honey, caramel, and coffee and slated weathering. It is a truly mesmerizing sight to behold. This board would impress the serious chef in your life.

This single piece of solid hardwood measures approximately 19 3/4" x 12 1/2" x 1 7/8" at its widest points. It has been finished with a food-safe blend of beeswax and mineral oil. It has been branded on one end with the words "RED ONION WOODWORKS". Care instructions (also available in my shop policies http://www.etsy.com/shop_policy.php?user_id=9406401 ) are included.

This exact board is ready to ship (US only). It will be mailed USPS Priority within three business days of purchase and should take 2-3 to arrive after mailing. West Coast buyers may receive a small refund for overestimated shipping charges.

If you intend to buy this board as a gift, please include a note for the recipient in the "message to seller" at checkout.

Bigleaf maple (Acer macrophyllum) is common up and down the West Coast of the United States, but figured wood with this much character is rare. All lumber for my projects is salvaged from industrial logging operations, backyards, or storm damaged areas.

Red Onion Woodworks boards are appealing because of their unique grain patterns and organic shapes. These characteristics are a result of what some would consider defects in the tree. Please be aware that wood as a natural material can be prone to slight changes in plane and fine cracking due to fluctuations in climate conditions. I am confident that the product you will receive is structurally sound and with proper care, should endure normal household conditions without negative effects on its performance or beauty.

At this time, I am not taking on custom orders, wholesale orders, or selling raw wood. Sorry.

Feel free to send me a convo if you have further questions or need more information. See more of my cutting boards and serving trays at http://www.RedOnionWoodworks.etsy.com.
