Earthy Industrial Decay
A few months ago I hand picked about thirty Deer Antler Tips from a sculpter down the hall from my studio. Instant Love. I left two tips on my work bench for a few weeks allowing for them to talk to the collections of found objects and materials. The antlers deeply connected with a beautiful thick piece of rusted steel that I found a few months earlier.
This necklace is completely hand fabricated, primarily in silver (the back of the steel casing is copper). The deer antler tips each hang from the steel by hinges, allowing free movement. The steel hangs from the hand forged and hinged chain. The chain ends at the back of the neck with a hook clasp.
