I used the St. Petersburg chain technique to weave the bracelet, with a row of large turquoise green seed beads set between the herringbone shaped rows of shiny black. The beaded clasp button features a brown horn glass bead base, and rounds of tiny peridot green seed beads. The unexpected combination of simple colors and contrasts makes the clasp a focal for the bracelet that really stands out.
Dimensions: The bracelet is 1.1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, and 18 cm (7.1 inches) long, including the clasp. When the clasp is secured, the bracelet has an inside circumference of about 16.5 cm (6.5 inches). The beaded button measures 1.6 cm (0.6 inches) across.
Materials used in this bracelet include Japanese glass seed beads, and a limited edition Czech pressed glass druk bead. I weave all of my jewelry with durable fused nylon thread, which provides lasting strength and consistent beadwork shapes. The lightweight weave in this piece provides a soft and flexible bracelet that would be great for stacking with other bracelets and bangles.
This one of a kind bracelet comes wrapped in tissue, packed securely with clean, repurposed bubble wrap or foam sheet, and shipped in a durable Canada Post cushion mailer.
