A very rare and super nifty Bakelite camera produced by Argus in 1939 and 1940. It's beautiful streamlined design included a number of exciting features - including a collapsible lens housing, and both full frame and half frame image making capabilities! The lens plate has a great steampunky feel. Uses 828 film, but can be adapted to take 35mm. Google it! Please note, the camera is front heavy and wants to tip forward. For display, I put some coins under the lens. These are not included! For home display purposes, you could do the same, or possibly put some museum putty under the feet to keep it upright.
Very clean condition for age. Dust in the deep hard to reach places, and light soil to the light metal bands around the camera. Very clean inside. Some rub marks and very fine scratches to the smooth parts of the Bakelite body.
Good working condition. A beautiful camera for collection, use and decor.
