Vintage 40s suit with matching fur trimmed shawl. Exquisite ensemble! Summer weight wool in a golden yellow (photo 2 depicts actual color). Jacket is fully lined in probably rayon and has 5 decorative covered buttons, princess seams with inset pockets, cuffed sleeves, double welt button holes, decorative stitching on pockets. The straight skirt has a banded waistband and side metal zipper, back kick pleat, and center front and back seam. Skirt is half lined, seams are pinked. The shawl is made like a cape in the back but looks like a shawl in the front. Shawl is fully lined, has fur trim on the back portion and inset pockets on the front.

Condition: Excellent Vintage...Exquisite...shows no signs of wear...however there are several minor flaws I want to point out. On the shawl...see photo 5...one tiny moth hole on center back above fur, two small holes on edge of front section of the shaw, and very small worn area of the lining on the underside edge of the shawl front. Only one of the holes on the edge of the shawl (photo 5) is visible from the outside, but they could both be fixed by slightly taking in the side seams. There are also 3 small moth "nibbles" not shown in photo 5...2 on the bottom edge of the shawl and one on the back of the coat collar. The nibbles are very small areas where the fuzz has been removed and they are ONLY noticable upon close inspection, but I want to be exact in my description. I will be glad to send additional photos.
