The tiny clasp on top of the purse's frame opens this locket to reveal a picture of a man from probably the late 1800s. There is another frame on the other side which will hold another tiny picture. Measures approximately 5/8" x 5/8" not including the handle.
This little purse locket and photo are in "as found" condition. I haven't cleaned the locket and the photo is untouched. In very good condition with no damage to the enamel. It opens and closes with ease. There is wear to the gold finish which can be seen around the edges of the locket. There is also a tiny ding on one side of the purse near the hinge.
What a great little treasure from the Victorian era for your collection!
