This journal is made from part of a package of early 90's scrapbook refill paper I found at the thrift store and one of those 70's textured painting reproductions printed on hard tag board.

There are 96 pages (or 192 front and back) in the journal and it is bound using a method called "coptic stitch" with waxed linen thread. The book as a whole measures 5 3/4" by 7 1/4" so it's a really comfortable size.

The image on the front is from a painting by dutch artist Henk Bos called "Still Life with Tangerines," but since I cut the image up to use as a cover, only a portion of the painting is visible.

I love this style of journal: solid and straightforward with a bit (ok, a lot) of vintage recycled funk. It is light and portable, yet ready for some major journaling or sketching- whatever you can throw at it! :)

P.S. Please know if you've never had a handmade journal, it's like having homemade meal... you can feel the love. :)

*Please remember that recycled materials can be imperfect and funky, but there is a lot of beauty in deckled edges and stray strings :)

**International buyers, please convo me for a shipping price!
