This wonderful vintage pedestal cake stand has been created here in our studio in Berlin out of hand-picked vintage items found in antique shops, charity shops and flea markets in and around the city. We have upcycled a lovely 1970s vintage plate and attached it to an amber pressed glass base from the same era. The coupe plate is made of fine quality white porcelain. Here a dashing hare graces a plate made by the Porzellanfabrik Gebrüder Winterling AG., Kirchenlamitz, Bavaria. The green mark which can still be seen through the base was used from 1950 onwards.
Adding a dimension always makes a statement. Now just imagine cinnamon sticky buns or a stack of thick slices of French toast on this stand Easter Sunday morning. Whoo-hoo! Pretty for cupcakes, petit fours, cookies, fruits & berries, etc...
Setting the notions of Easter and 'bunnies' aside, this cake stand would be well received by a friend that hunts, owns a cabin or just enjoys nature and the call of the wild.
The pedestal plate measures 9 3/8 in diameter and stands 5 3/8 inches high. We have used an industrial compound to attach the plate to the base. Please hand wash.
This charming piece is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing nor image loss. Please note that parts of this stand are over 40 years old so some degree of wear should be expected.
