Pair of Richter Artcraft "Glass" Bottle Wall Reliefs
This truly retro pair of "glass" bottle wall reliefs was made by the Richter Artcraft Co. Each piece has 3 bottles varying in size and colors orange, red and, yellow. The background is an off white color with small brownish gold lines. Both pieces are in wooden frames. measuring 18" x 7.75".
The label on the back reads "Richter Originals, Toledo, Ohio, 1964 Richter Artcraft".
These pieces are in good vintage condition, there are some scratches on the bottles and the wooden frames. Also, some how over the years, a bit of white paint has gotten on them, it's hardly noticeable and could most likely be removed.
Richter Artcraft Co. History:
The Richter Artcraft Co. of Toledo, OH was founded in 1950 by William L. Breyfogle and Theodore Richter. The company sold to major distributors such as Sears Roebuck.The Richter Artcraft Co. made cast art working at first in plaster then in lighter and stronger, polyurethane foam. The company also used a vacuum-forming process that created 3D framed wall relief like these.When styles change in the 1970’s the Richter Artcraft Co. went out of business.
