This afghan is done in a granny square pattern using a multi yarn of blues and greens for the main body of the blanket. The edging is done is a blue and soft white to add an accent. The baby hat is done in soft white with the multi yarn accent stripe. The hat is newborn size. If you are concerned about the size, one can always weave a piece of ribbon in through the yarn. This makes a nice personal touch to the gift. I would be more than happy to add a ribbon (free of charge) to the hat before shipping. Please just send me a convo or note with your order.
Babies love the feel of yarn and it tends to be that go-to blanket as they move into their toddler years. This can become that heirloom item that is passed down generation to generation. I know I still have the baby blanket that was made for me packed away in the kids' memory boxes for them to use with their own children.
The blanket measures about 34 inches square. Stuffed bears and bucket not included.

This afghan is machine washable and only gets better with use. I recommend washing the blanket in cold water. I would also recommend drying them on a low heat setting or air drying works quite nicely as well.
