A beautiful array of jewel colors and texture combined with a black and colored rectangles border. This window is constructed with copper foil and framed in zinc. A combination of circular shapes and geometric shapes makes this a very dramatic one-of-a-kind window!
"I wanted this peacock feather to look like it is floating. I chose to use irridescent blue glass for the center, cathedral bright colors combined with black . The brilliant yellow are very expensive antique glass I was able to rescue from a closed glass shop's supply. I wanted to repurpose it into this bright window." - Linda
This original design is hand cut to ensure quality placement of each piece, this piece will last for centuries. This panel is built with the copper foil and lead came technique with a sturdy zinc frame. The piece is buffed and polished with glass wax. This window has a black patina applied to the metal. The black patina adds drama to the design while speeding up the natural darkening process inherent to lead and solder.
