I have been working with clay for over 15 years, with an emphasis on small scale ceramics for the last 10. I am a Fellow of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA). Once a year I teach a week long course at the Guild school in Castine, Maine. I have been fortunate to have my work in several miniature museums and featured in various publications.
Each piece is handmade on a pottery wheel. It goes through the same process as a full sized piece but is contained in a much smaller area. Working small really allows me to focus on the detail, shape and form.
This particular miniature vase was made from high quality porcelain. It stands just 1 1/2" tall.
