A great find from a recent estate sale near Dallas after the death of the 90 year old lady. These estate items are from the mother of an older friend of mine who is a preacher. This is a beautiful round bowl with a scalloped edge and a handle. This style shape is called a "Nappy". This a true ruby red glass and gold must be used in the process to produce this lovely shade of red. It was made by the Fostoria company in the 1960's. It was discontinued in 1981. The pattern is called "Coin" because of the frosted coin designs surounding the bowl. This would be perfect on any table setting. It is in mint condition with not even a scratch. It measures approx 5 1/4" across and is 6 1/2" when you include the handle. It stands 1 5/8" tall and is approx 2" tall when you measure to the top of the handle. It has the identifiable RAYS pattern on the bottom.
Imagine this being used at your wedding or shower filled with mints for the occasion. Perhaps you need this to complete your collection. The condition is wonderful. There are no chips, no nicks, no chiggers and no scratches. It has never been washed in a dishwasher so there is no water spots and no cloudyness. I tried to take photos in all kinds of light so you could see the how beautiful it is. I will be listing more lovely glass from this same estate sale.
