There is only one ounce of 20-micron stainless steel fiber remaining. Once this ounce is sold, I will only stock ultrafine (3 micron) stainless steel fiber: https://www.etsy.com/listing/99666020
This combed fiber top is real, 100% stainless steel, 20 microns in diameter with a staple length of 5-6cm (2-2.5 inches), perfect for blending with your favorite fibers! As this fiber is real metal, it will add a bit of glimmer to any blend.
The use of stainless steel in textiles is becoming increasingly popular -- stainless steel is conductive, so blend it with any fiber blend to create an antistatic yarn! Of course, stainless steel also resists corrosion, so it won't rust when you wash it. This pure metal fiber is also ideal for experimenting with e-textiles, the addition of electronic circuitry and components such as LEDs and even programmable microcontrollers to yarn, fabric and clothing. There are many resources on the web that will help you get started with this exciting union of textiles and digital technology!
This fiber is composed of grade 316L stainless steel, a medical and food-preparation grade metal. See this page for technical information about grade 316L stainless steel: http://www.azom.com/article.aspx?ArticleID=2382
Larger quantities of this fiber are available -- please convo me if you'd like more than the listed amount, or if you have any questions about this unique product. The last photo on the right is an example of yarn spun from this fiber.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING POLICY
I ship items to countries other than the United States only AT THE BUYER'S RISK -- I cannot replace packages that have been lost or damaged in the mail. This is a firm policy. You can track your package's location until the point it leaves the United States using its customs number, which I will provide to you upon shipping your package.
Packages are sent via USPS First Class Mail International Parcel; your package may be in transit anywhere from 1-3 weeks (shipments to Great Britain seem to take the longest). Please contact me if you would prefer a different method of shipment. Additional charges may apply for alternative shipping arrangements.
I am not responsible for any customs fees that you may incur as a result of importing goods.
If delivery issues arise, please contact me via Etsy convo and I will work with you to resolve the issue -- both of us may need to contact USPS, depending on the issue.
