The sweetest memento of your home sweet home!!!
This listing includes:
1. An 8 x 10 watercolor and gouache portrait of your home. The portrait is painted on the loveliest, 190 lb Arches hot press paper which is archival, mould-made in France, and guaranteed to last over a lifetime.
2. Custom lettering if you'd like it. I have had folks request their last name, the names of all their family members, the home address, or a quote that is meaningful to the family :)
3. Up to two pet silhouettes.
4. A CD with a high-resolution file for printing! I also include a document with step-by-step instructions on how to turn these into beautiful, inexpensive notecards through Overnight.prints com.
A couple of FAQ's about the portraits:
Q: Do you work from photos, and how many do you need?
A: Yes! I really only need one if it's a good quality, straight-on shot (like from the street). Some folks like to send additional shots of details they would like included (like light fixtures, for example. Or pets of course!). This is totally up to you!
After you purchase, I will send you an Etsy convo with my email address. You can email me the photos :)
Q: Can you include yard elements, like trees or mailboxes?
A: Unfortunately, I don't include yard elements in the portraits because they interfere with the crisp, whimsical style of the portraits. There are many, many great artists on Etsy who offer very realistic-style home portraits, but I am unfortunately not one of them!
This is more of a charming, whimsical, "illustrated" version of your home :)
Q: Would you consider doing the portrait in a larger or smaller size?
A: Sadly, because of the volume of work I have right now, I am unable to offer custom sizes in these. If you are interested in having a large print of your portrait, I would be more than happy to suggest places where you can order GREAT quality canvas prints. I have had customers do this in the past and they turned out beautifully! They ended up with the original painting as a family heirloom, and a large canvas print to hang in their home!
Q: What is the turnaround time for these?
A: See note at top of listing :) If you need it for a specific holiday or occasion, I am happy to try to expedite the process for you. Just send me a convo and I will let you know if I can expedite it for you!
Q: What if I am buying this as a gift for someone? Can I have a gift certificate to send them?
A: Certainly! Just let me know that in the "notes to seller" section of your Etsy order, and I will mail you a signed and numbered gift certificate, which the recipient can redeem at any time.
