ordered 5-17 arrived 5-20- Fast ship! bar is Huge, able to cut into thirds going to use as a toothpaste for travel. i did try already, "whips" up nice with brush not sudsy like you think it might, more creamy, does a great job cleaning teeth not a strong minty taste and no soapy taste. most people might "ewww" at the thought of a "soap" paste. it caught my attention some months ago to try. i did try another companies style of tooth soap theirs was in a container , i felt like the container could help multiply bacteria, so moved on to a bar that can be dried between uses. found this shop by "tag" toothpaste. this can be used for whole body too. bars r big can cut into pieces for different uses. and the added plus is the taste is perfect, not strong. cleans teeth and rinses well. can be stored in a reuseable container when dry, to travel. this handmade bar really can do tripe duty, i dont think procter and gamble made the first tooth cleansers it had to have been wonderful soap makers like at this shop using great natural ingredients. better for your teeth.

Please read about lye: Is it safe to use lye(in this case sodium hydroxide)? Yes, it is. Lye is an effective solvent, softener and pH-balancing agent when used in the correct amount. As a strong base, it is used in cooking sparingly. However, you need to use lye only in the appropriate and approved pH range, OR it can have hazardous effect on the finished product. Lye is used in food stuff like pretzels, rolls and noodles. It has medicinal properties like curing psoriasis, poison ivy and other skin irritations when used in soaps in the desired amount. Sodium hydroxide is a base that reacts with acids(oils/butters) to form a chemically different substance called soap. There is no sodium hydroxide left in the finished bar.
