Leather hammer holster with security strap.

This leather hammer holster is equipped with a security strap to prevent the hammer from working its way out and causing an accident. A scaffold builder who often worked at great heights while others were working below him told me he needed such a holster. Since I was one of those working below him I made him one and this is what I came up with.
The top of the holster pocket is folded over and hand stitched to give it shape, rigidity and thickness for longer wear. The strap snaps to secure the hammer and snaps open while the hammer is in use for easy re-holstering. A belt up to two inches wide will fit in the belt loop. This holster accommodates my 22 oz. framing hammer but might not snap shut with anything bigger.
