A great find from a recent estate sale near Dallas after the death of the 90 year old lady. These estate items are from the mother of an older friend of mine who is a preacher. This is a beautiful vintage small pitcher or ewer. My research show this was made by the Pilgrim Glass Co. in Ceredo, West Virginia. This company is famous for their Crackle Glass. This is style #748 and was in production from 1949 to 1950. This particular color was an early color and the sticker was also one of the older ones. Later they had an oval lable without the glass blower. The color is a nice lime green with a clear handle. Later they had a more olive color and also emerald green. The condition is perfect and shows lots of sparkling crackle. It measures 3 1/2" tall and the mouth is just shy of 3". It has a pontil mark on the bottom showing it was hand blown.
The fact we still have the original label adds to the value. This companie's items have become very popular since the factory closed. Many of their items were small and with the vibrant colors that adds to the collectability. Perhaps you need this to complete your collection. There are no chips, no nicks and no chiggers. I tried to take photos in all kinds of light so you could see the how beautiful it is. I will be listing more lovely glass from this same estate sale.
