These are old steel letters and numbers. I've come across the ones from the 1950s from Sears, and I feel comfortable saying these pre-date them. In fact, there is some level of "handmade" to this set, as the a couple of the letters are very tight fits in their box holds. It's an old wood box as well, it has a hole in the bottom (so this is where the missing A went) and has a large side crack. Still secure, but I will wrap this with my usual TLC and ship the numbers outside of the box due to the weight. This is a very hard to find item. You no longer have to replace fonts on your typewriter, but it's a wonderfully unique decor item. Almost complete, the A, and two numbers are missing, but you have a period and a comma as well. The front of the box is marked C88.
Box width is 8", height is just a bit over 3"-front to back is almost 4." The letters/numbers height vary around 1/4" inch, and front to back is around 2 1/2" Again, these are variations, as they are unique. Very heavy item, it's over 5 lbs before you get it boxed up. To save money on shipping I will mail in a Flat Rate Priority Box/Medium with delivery confirmation.
