This is a one-of-a-kind real meteorite ring sculpted by me. The design is custom fit to the meteorite and there will never be a second copy of it made, so the ring is guaranteed to stay unique.

This ring is an American size 12-3/4 -- quite large. I might be able to increase the size very slightly (half a size) so if you need a bigger size please look at my other rings or talk to me first. Please note that the meteorite is very large as well. It's very comfortable to wear (it's not overly heavy) but you must be careful not to get it snagged on things.

The concept behind this ring is that it's an asteroid field (with the meteorite being the largest asteroid in the bunch) with a UFO hiding in the middle of it. Specifically it's a Haunebu UFO, the type that conspiracy folks sometimes believe the Nazis developed during WWII -- and perhaps even still fly now from their secret base on the dark side of the moon? I should warn you that because of this there is a tiny swastika on a part of the UFO. Obviously it is NOT NOT NOT a neo-nazi ring or anything like that, but if for some reason the swastika makes you uncomfortable please tell me when you order it and I can buff it off the ring.

This ring is made with an iron meteorite from a rare witnessed fall in Nantan, China, 1516. The fall was described as "bright as lightning" with stars falling from the northwest "waving like snakes and dragons" for just a few seconds per "star", although the meteorites themselves weren't found until much later (mostly in 1958 during China's "Great Leap Forward" when it was desperate for steel). Much of the Nantan meteorite (which was a very large strike) is loose iron oxide, but these are pieces from the core of the meteorite so they're quite dense and solid and basically look like lumps of metal (the Chinese farmers who collected them realized it wasn't normal iron ore when they couldn't melt it). I really like the idea of having something that travelled billions of miles through space to eventually win the collision lottery and fall onto our little planet from so far away, which is why I made this jewelry.

The meteorite is mounted in the jewelry using the design of the ring itself, which has been constructed to hold the stone in place. No glue or epoxies are used. Please be warned that while the meteorite itself is very strong, the pewter that makes up the body of the ring is more fragile. An unlucky drop that lands wrong on a hard floor could crack the ring or break one of the mounts. If this happens do feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to repair it but it would be better if you didn't drop it!!! Finally, the pewter that the ring is made of is a mix of bismuth and tin, and is completely body-safe and should not cause any metal allergies -- there is no nickel or lead in the body of the ring (although there is some nickel in the meteorite itself).
