With the calm serenity of the old oak, Birch stands patiently taking in the world around him. There is nothing but the gently stirring breeze in the leaves as he listens silently to the world around him.
Birch Whiteoak is a One of a Kind StudioWillich Original, hand sculpted in Aves Apoxie Sculpt, with layers of Prosulpt over his hands and face. This figure has been hand painted and dressed in custom made clothing and has Glass Eyes. His wispy whiskers are faux fur, this is a dressed SOLID sculpture, the only moving part aside from the cloth is Birches little dangling spider who is on a clear elastic strand.
The tiny spider companion suspended from his staff is also hand sculpted in Aves; an extremely strong, long lasting and durable material, for those unfamiliar. Birch stand a sturdy 13 inches tall and is about 10 inches wide and was completed in August of 2011. This is my first piece available on Etsy, until now all work has been sold either through galleries, ebay or my website.
As an artist there are projects you like, and projects you LOVE, this piece was a labor of love and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it. I poured my self into the detail and got lost in it with the hopes that you could get lost in my fantasy world too!
