The back is stamped " Made in Austria" and there is a partial Reuge sticker on the bottom with the name of the song. The winding knob is embossed the Reuge name .At the forefront of the mechanical music industry, the Reuge musical movement were included in the most unlikely objects such as powder compacts and cigarette lighters.
The weather houses really work, however they are not precision weather instruments. They operate by the change of barometric pressure. You set the weather house by turning the knob on top based on the current weather conditions by bringing the lady out slightly for sunny weather or the man out slightly for inclement weather. You should only adjust the weather house once. Place it where you want and wait for the magic to begin.
Measures: 5 1/2 wide" x 4 1/2" tall x 3" deep.
Condition: Very good working condition. The is a little divot with glue residue in the floor on the right side behind the "water trough". This does not effect the appearance. Hardware has age appropriate patina.
