This rack is made from salvaged materials and from authentic driftwood, which I collected from the beach in Southern California (Leucadia/ Encinitas in San Diego County, to be exact). It is a great size for a towel rack or coat rack or wetsuit rack or whatever-else-you-want-to-hang rack. Obviously this piece of wood was originally part of something really important and probably life-saving or life-changing (only to be re-used by me to make something even more important, and live saving AND changing), as you can tell by the heavy duty screws in the side.

There's a lot of erosion along the beaches in Southern California, so this wood probably fell victim to Mamma Nature's wrath, and the wood was violently ripped from the structure during a "Perfect Wave" type storm, during which the ocean erupted to produce triple overhead rough waves which destroyed everything in their paths. This lone piece of wood was the only survivor, as it bravely faced the elements, living on only nuts and berries until I rescued it. When I found it, it was on the brink of death and had been left to die alone along the rocky cliffs edge. I nursed it back to health, and am now presenting you with the rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own this magnificent artifact.

The result is a fully functional, sturdy rack to hang your coat, hat, towel, bridle, bow and arrow, board shorts, dog leash, child leash (just kidding. But seriously, you can hang that here too...) with an industrial, shabby chic, rustic, savagely nautical flavor. Or beachy. Or barn yard-y. Or mountain man woods-y. Or rail-road-y. Let's just say this rack can be anything you want it to be. And more.
